Thomas Lake, 50, was on the Tok Cutoff Highway roughly 30 miles from Tok when the collision occurred. Lake died at the scene and his next of kin have been notified. The 125-mile highway begins at the Richardson Highway in Gakona and ends in Tok, where it meets the Alaska Highway.

An Anchorage man died Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a moose near Tok, Alaska State Troopers said.

Thomas Lake, 50, was on the Tok Cutoff Highway roughly 30 miles from Tok, troopers said. The collision was reported to authorities just before 2:15 p.m.

Lake died at the scene. His next of kin have been notified, according to troopers.

The 125-mile Tok Cutoff Highway begins at the Richardson Highway in Gakona and ends in Tok, where it meets the Alaska Highway.
